Jack & Jenny's Information

Jack & Jenny's brings a distinctive name to the dining scene in downtown Janesville, Wisconsin. Located at 15 N Main St, Janesville, WI 53545, this establishment sits in a part of the city where local businesses, historic architecture, and neighborhood activity come together. Its central location makes it a convenient place to consider when exploring Main Street, meeting friends, or looking for somewhere to enjoy a meal while spending time downtown.

One of the appealing things about dining in downtown Janesville is the surrounding atmosphere. The area has a welcoming small-city character, with independent businesses and walkable streets that give visitors a reason to explore beyond their original destination. Jack & Jenny's benefits from this setting, especially for people who appreciate restaurants connected to the local community rather than isolated dining spots. Whether planning a casual lunch or an evening out, the location offers a practical starting point.

When evaluating a restaurant like Jack & Jenny's, the menu is naturally one of the most important considerations. Diners generally want a good balance between familiar favorites, interesting selections, satisfying portions, and reasonable prices. Food quality matters just as much as variety. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful preparation, proper serving temperatures, and balanced flavors can turn an ordinary meal into something memorable. Since a current, verified menu is not available here, specific dishes and prices are best confirmed directly with the establishment before visiting.

Atmosphere also plays a major role in the overall restaurant experience. Comfortable seating, a clean dining area, manageable noise levels, and an inviting environment can make a noticeable difference, particularly when guests want to relax rather than rush through their food. Service deserves equal attention. Friendly greetings, accurate orders, helpful recommendations, and reasonable waiting times are the kinds of details that often shape customer reviews. A restaurant does not need an elaborate presentation to impress guests when its kitchen and front-of-house service work well together.

For anyone considering Jack & Jenny's, recent customer reviews can provide useful insight into the dining experience. Comments about portion sizes, food consistency, staff attentiveness, and overall value are particularly helpful when deciding what to expect. It is worth looking for patterns across multiple reviews rather than relying on a single enthusiastic or disappointing experience. Opening hours, reservation arrangements, and available dining options should also be checked before making plans.

The downtown address adds another practical advantage for visitors who want to combine dining with shopping, sightseeing, or a casual walk through central Janesville. Parking availability, pedestrian access, and nearby businesses may influence the timing of a visit, especially during busy periods or community events. For families, couples, and small groups, details such as seating arrangements, dietary accommodations, and the flexibility of the menu can be especially useful when choosing where to eat.

What People's Say About Place

The first place I ate moving here to Janesville. It was a solid choice. The service was a bit slow, but the food (smash burger w/ bacon and egg) was absolutely delicious. The burger itself was $15 and it was worth the price. There is no side either for that cost. I did order some tots with garlic mayo. Those were average, and a decent portion. This place does a pretty nice job good wise. Their attention to customers could use a little bit of work. When you do have the employees time, they are very friendly. I definitely would recommend this place.

While it might appear to be just another bar and grill, the food is decidedly more upscale. Welcoming staff greeted us right away and seated us quickly. We ordered drinks and an appetizer first. We each had an old fashioned: blackberry and bananas foster. Both were delicious, and we had never seen a bananas foster flavor before; subtle bansna flavor made it go down easy. The lobster mac and cheese was great, as was the double patty smash burger topped with a fried egg. A smaller menu keeps things tight for the kitchen, but it is a good variety offered to please nearly everyone. Narrow and deep, this place shares an open outdoor seating area with a sister restsurant on the other side.

Jack & Jenny’s is one of those downtown Janesville spots that just feels easy in the best way. Right on Main Street with the Rock River nearby, it’s got that mix of riverfront atmosphere and casual Wisconsin bar energy that makes it a solid place to settle in for a while. Inside, it’s laid back without trying too hard—sports on the TVs, good music, and a crowd that feels like a mix of locals and people just passing through. The food and drinks lean classic Wisconsin bar fare, and it fits the vibe: burgers, fish fry, cheese curds, and cold drinks without any unnecessary fuss. The real highlight is the location and patio setup. Being right near the river and sharing outdoor space downtown gives it a nice summer-night feel, especially when the weather is good and the area has a bit of energy going on. Overall, it’s a great “come as you are” kind of bar—nothing pretentious, just a solid downtown hangout in Janesville that works whether you’re grabbing a drink, catching a game, or just hanging out by the river for a bit.

I really like the vibe/atmosphere here at Jack & Jenny's came here to check out this new establishment. First impression was "wow"! Impressive scene with modern style and holding some form of downtown history. The food was great but feel that prices were a tad high for "pub" food as compared to other similar establishments. We visited around 3:00 pm and didn't think it was busy, we ended up seating ourselves and waited awhile before we for any service. Our meals were bought out at separate times, my wife was half way through her meal before I received mine. Service was lagging. Perhaps being that this is new, give some time for staff to be trained and improve to 5 stars.

Such a great place! Our party had grilled cheese, the black bean burger, and the smash burgers. All were SO delicious! Server was so personable. Big selection of tap beers.

We stopped here on a chance as we were driving back from Indiana and Illinois. We had a most delicious lunch of chicken pot pie soup, Oklahoma onion burger, and "fancy" truffle and parmesan fries with garlic mayo. Truly an amazing lunch. So delicious. Our server Tessa was great too!

Had lunch here and our food was terrific. I especially enjoyed the Chicken Salad Wrap. We were greeted by the owner with an awesome smile and attitude. Our Server was attentive and friendly. The “fancy fries” were delicious. The prices were good and we had an awesome business lunch. Outstanding!
